Kid’s Choice Awards

On March 31, the annual Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards was held. It’s an award show that kids vote online to determine the winner of various categories in music, film, and sports and much more! A record breaking number of 220 million votes were used to choose the winners of the Kid’s Choice Awards in twenty categories! Hosted by Will Smith, the night was a light and fun celebration. In past years many audience members and people in the awards’ show are slimed with green, gooey slime and to keep Nickelodeon tradition, this year did not disappointed. Everybody was covered in thick, slippery slime and the whole night was a blast. Celebrities like Chris Colfer, Victoria Justice, Cameron Diaz, and Daniel Radcliffe took place in a slime fight with Will Smith. Justin Bieber won the award for Favorite Male Singer, Big Time Rush won the award for Favorite Music Group, Kristen Stewart won award for Favorite Movie Actress, and Taylor Swift was presented the Big Help award by First Lady, Michelle Obama. Those performing include One Direction, Katy Perry, Keke Palmer, and Max Schneider. There were also special guest appearances by Justin Bieber and Cee Lo Green. It was a fun-filled night and congratulations to all the winners!

Another British boy band (mentioned in an earlier post) is One Direction and their new single What Makes You Beautiful is getting massive airplay. Also, Katy Perry’s single, Part of Me, which she first performed at the Grammys earlier this year is an awesome song. To celebrate our youth, listen to Janelle Monae’s song: We Are Young, or Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa’s song: Young, Wild, and Free. These songs are perfect songs to listen to during your spring vacation. For those who wanna spend their week listening to empowering songs, there are definitely many of those out there. Check out Kelly Clarkson’s song: Stronger, or Domino by Jessie J. For those in love, songs like Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen or Not Over You by Gavin Degraw would be perfect. And for those who just want to party all day and all night for spring break, there are so many songs out there for you to listen to.
